Mr. Rudolph Mercer was born October 2, 1936 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Jesse James and Minnie Lee Mercer.
Rudolph attended new Stanton high school and also Duvall County technical College, where he received his degree. After graduation Rudolph entered the United States Army where he served his country for four years an with honorable discharge.
Rudolph began his career as an engineer with the Miles Laboratory in 1968, where he worked for over 40 years until retirement.
Rudolph was united in holy matrimony with Karen Ann Miller in 1975.
Siblings who preceded Rudolph in death are Marion Brinkley, Jesse James Mercer Junior, Shirley Kimbrough and Barbara Dansey.
Rudolph leaves to cherish his memories six children, Rhonda Kirkwood, Chicago, Rudi Mercer, Florida, Joel Mercer, Florida, Rudene Mercer Haynes (Ricardo) VA., Davina Mercer, NC. and Precious Mercer, NC.; three grandchildren, Rachel Haynes, Rabbie Haynes and Ryan Gatton; siblings, Leatrice Harris (Randolph), Florida, Fairbank “Faye” Stoutamire (Alphonso) GA, Carol Roberts, Florida, Willie James Mercer, Florida and Melvin Mercer, Florida; with a host of other relatives and friends.
