Sherman Bond Jr. was born on December 8, 1945 to the late Sherman Bond and Thelma Odessa Gray Bond.
Sherman departed his life on July 14, 2022 at the University of Chicago Illinois Hospital.
Sherman dedicated 40+ years of service and membership to Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church under the original leadership of Dr. Louis Rawls and currently the leadership of Pastor Shelly. During his service, Sherman cleaned, prepared meals, food pantry preparation and distribution to the community, painted, buffed floors and any other details the church office and or the Sanctuary required for maintenance and preparation prior to during and after service, and other events.
Sherman continued until his health declined and he lived the rest of his life at the Deliverance Senior Home. Living there he met many new friends until his sudden passing.
Mr. Sherman Bond Jr. leaves the following in remembrance of his life: brothers, James (Patty) and Calvin (Catherine); sons, Markel, Alexander, Vincent and Draper; daughter, Shawna; his friends, Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Lester; close friend, Steve; grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by: brothers, (Twin brother) Herman, Maurice, Charles, Patrick (Verna K.), Larry (Shirley); four children: daughters, Sharon, Mary, Denise and son, Robert (Roy).
