Valerie Denise Williams was an amazing woman, she was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 6,1957. Born to Anna and Robert Tanzy.
She grew up in Englewood, where she successfully completed elementary school (Bass Elementary) and high school (Calumet High School) in 1976. After completing high school she began working for Connor’s Publishing.
Valerie was wed to Wash Noel in 1984, which produced their only child Katherine. Later divorcing both shared a special love for their daughter.
Valerie later attended Computer Learning Center earning a certificate in computer science. After completing school, she began working for Firman Headstart Program. In 1996, she began working as secretary to the Director of Headstart with the Southside YMCA. She enjoyed children and working with the teachers and staff. She also gained her best friend Jean Carter in working in that position. You could often find them on the phone discussing any and everything.
In 1996 she met and began dating the love of her life, Alfonso Williams. They later married in the year 2000 in Mesa, Arizona. Valerie had a plentiful career journey and an outstanding work ethic. She retired in the year 2009. Valerie took pride in her only child and only grandchild Kory White. She was a loving mother and grandmother always there to give wisdom and love.
Valerie departed her life on November 24, 2021. Valerie is preceded in death by her father Robert (1972); mother Anna (2002); husband Alfonso (2017).
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving daughter, Katherine Noel; grandson, Kory White; along with a host of other relatives and good friends.
